This was a A Race for me.
I rated my performance a 5 out of 5.
Race Notes: It was and oven of a race. Temperatures at gun time reached 80 degrees. And it only went up from there. By the time I crossed the finish line it had to be 86-87 degrees. The fact that humidity was low helped some. I guess my goal was to run the race under 4 hours. I decided to pick up the pace in the first half and clocked 1:51. Then it all went south: less shade, more heat, less energy and steeper hills. My second half took me just under 2 hours. Most fellow racers stalled after mile 20 as they dragged themselves to the finish. First aid tents were crammed with folks treated with dehydration and heat exhaustion. I never stopped running (or should I say jogging) and made it to Boylston Street in one piece. A time of 3:51 is "slow" for my standards, but when the mercury shot north the way it did I have to consider the 2012 Boston Marathon as my greatest athletic feat.

This was a A Race for me.
I rated my performance a 3 out of 5.
Race Notes: Great swim... great bike... horrible run (to be accurate, I walked). But I finished. Visited medical tent for the first time and received an IV bag at Debra Brevard's insistence (and coaching on what to say). Didn't drink enough on the bike and the temperature was about 105 and heat index was approximately 115.

Ran 2nd race of the day: Terror Trail Run in Oswego. 2nd time doing this one. Got a cool Hatchet for an award! Lot's of mud and the whole race was a bunch of hills. 2nd time doing this one and I will do it again!

It's two days after I did the long run and now that I've changed my goal from "run the entire thing" to "complete it and have fun" I actually feel better about the soldier field ten miler than I have in a while. Today I ran a mile and it feels like someone is punching me in te hip instead of stabbing me. So I got that owing for me. I swam 18 laps in the pool too. The hot tub is my dessert.

This was a C Race for me.
I rated my performance a 1 out of 5.
Race Notes: I did not run once since the OBNEA 5k due to my posterior tibialis injury. I shouldnt have run but gave in to peer pressure from a friend...LOL. Anyway... I paid for it for the next couple of weeks:-( I hadnt even ran this far due to my leg being sore until this race. I think I'll train next time? I felt good the whole race since I didn't want to push it and injure my leg more than needed.

great race today was a self timed trail race at Gunstock that i ran by myself, it was really hard to navigate though the course because i never done it and there were much less signs then i thought there would be, i even took a wrong turn after getting a huge lecture of a ran down of the description and writing the names of the trails on my hand, all and all this is a great training race just look for my times to improve the whole series my time was 24 mins or so
